Beit Ha’ir– Tel Aviv’s Historical Town Hall

Design Mill was chosen to design and set up a series of exhibitions in the first Town hall of Tel Aviv. The building has undergone extensive renovation for Tel Aviv 100th anniversary and now serves as an urban culture center.

Design Mill designed the permanent exhibition in the building, focusing on Tel Aviv's first mayor. The exhibition was inspired by the periodic style, to which we gave a contemporary twist. For instance, for the exhibition titled "The Visible City," we designed the photo albums of Tel Aviv out of a pool of thousands of photos. An object made up of the time-line posts was also added. The exhibition featured a unique line of furniture that becomes an integral part of the structure's architecture. The object is located in the first floor and contains a huge reservoir of photos and films of Tel Aviv.
