In the first exhibition of its kind, this exhibition presents the Machal volunteers (volunteers from overseas during Israel's war of independence) and their contribution to the fighting forces from the moment they arrived in Israel during Israel's War of Independence. The exhibition design creates a monument to the bravery of these individuals, who became a unified group against regional dangers.
The color blue, which appears in the exhibition on a white background, emphasizes the local patriotism of the overseas volunteers. Cutouts in the exhibition's panels, which resemble the aftermath of an explosion, have been added to symbolize the great challenges they had before them during their operations.
The exhibition presents works by Nahum Gutman, Ludwig Blum and others alongside documents, movies, and models of aircrafts, which constitute evidence to their heroic story.
